What is it?

These are hiking safaris, that positively engage your body, mind and spirit, through spectacular wilderness in game reserves inhabited by Africa's Big 5. For a full group booking, or eight people, we create walking safaris that meet your needs. Depending on your preference, choose a:​

• Wilderness backpacking trail where we set up our tents somewhere new each night whilst moving through incredible landscapes. 

​

• Women only wilderness safaris. 

​

• Primitive trail where sleep directly under the stars, without a tent,  and hold night watch.  

​

• Trails camp, fully catered, to which we return to each day.     

  

Walking through the African bush is the most exciting way to see nature and wildlife on its own terms. Led by professional guides, your experience is authentic, immersive, connective, active, exciting, safe and impactful. Experiencing wilderness exclusivity, you will get incredibly close to nature whilst having opportunities to learn about bushcraft, tracking, navigation, water collection, making fire, conservation, ecology, animal behavior and following the leave-no-trace principles.  

 

These are low eco-footprint safaris. We will purposely avoid busy camp areas, wildlife sightings surrounded with many vehicles, tarred roads that do not show tracks and commercial reserves. We will find animals the way they should be found, not chasing from sighting to sighting, using radios o locate them. ​

Your experience will unfold in either the magnificent and incredibly beautiful Greater Kruger National Park or in the big game areas of the surrounding Savanna.
